LMPD: Man fatally shot near Valley Station, all parties accounted for

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police are investigating a fatal shooting near Valley Station.

Louisville Metro Police said officers received reports of a shooting around 6:25 p.m. Thursday.

When officers arrived at the 6600 block of Skyline Drive, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Officers attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but the man died from his injuries and was pronounced dead there.

Police said they believe all parties involved are accounted for. LMPD’s Homicide Unit will handle the investigation.
