OAK GROVE, Ky. (WSMV) — Police are searching for a Tennessee man accused of fatally shooting a man in a karaoke bar parking lot last month.

Officers with the Oak Grove Police Department responded to the shooting on November 23, which left Jaylin Glenn dead. Investigators believe 28-year-old Avery Bates was the shooter.

“Following this evidence, detectives sought and were granted a warrant for his arrest on the charge of murder,” the Oak Grove Police Department said.

Authorities say Bates has fled the area to avoid arrest. Anyone with information about his location is urged to contact the Oak Grove Police non-emergency line at 270-439-4602. Police emphasized that tips could be critical in closing the case.
