A man was taken to the hospital Sunday evening after being shot in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department (LMPD).
Officers responded around 6:30 p.m. to the area of North 29th and Slevin Streets, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
Police provided medical assistance at the scene before the victim was transported to UofL Hospital for treatment. His injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating the incident to determine what led up to the shooting.
