Nervous Orlando Man Taken Into Custody On Orange And Charlotte County Warrants Following Polk County I-4 Traffic Stop

A traffic stop for dark window tint on Interstate 4 led to the arrest of an Orlando man wanted on multiple outstanding warrants Wednesday afternoon, authorities said.

A Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy stopped a red GMC SUV driving eastbound on I-4 near Lakeland shortly before 1 p.m. for a window tint violation, according to the sheriff’s office.

While speaking with the driver, the deputy saw that the front-seat passenger seemed nervous. When asked for identification, the passenger was unable to show any but did identify himself as 39-year-old Marc Gandara of Orlando and provided his birth date.

According to records, Gandara was wanted on two active warrants. One warrant was issued in Orange County for battery and dating violence, and the second in Charlotte County for failing to appear on a charge of driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Deputies claimed Gandara confirmed during the meeting that he was aware of the warrants.

Gandara was apprehended on the scene and sent to the Polk County Sheriff’s Processing Center, where he was booked for both warrants.
