Two Mega Millions players won big in the Friday drawing, taking home seven-figure prizes. The jackpot, which was $145 million at the time of the drawing, remained unclaimed and has continued to increase.
Two Players Won Seven-Figure Sums
The Friday Mega Millions jackpot had players battling for a top prize of $145 million and a cash option of $61.9 million. While a Mega Millions jackpot win did not occur, players did win significant prizes, including two seven-million Match 5 wins and an additional six-figure tier-three reward.
For reference, the winning Mega Millions numbers for Friday, August 28, were 8, 17, 29, 42, and 55, with the gold Mega Ball 2.
As previously stated, two players successfully matched all five white numbers, resulting in seven-figure awards. These included players from Missouri and Tennessee, who each got 3x multipliers. As a result, the two winners are now able to claim a $3 million award apiece.
