A lottery player from Germantown who bought a Pick 5 ticket won $50,000 in the drawing on Sunday, August 23.
Sunoco, located at 19738 Germantown Road, sold the winning ticket. According to the Maryland Lottery, the $50,000 award was unclaimed as of Monday, August 24.
The Germantown ticket was one among several significant lottery wins in Montgomery County from August 17 to August 23. A $10,000 prize was also won with a Diamonds & Gold scratch-off ticket purchased at 24/7 Grocery & Food, situated at 202 Park Road in Rockville.
During the week, 35 tickets across the state won $10,000 or more, bringing the total winners across all Maryland Lottery games to approximately $26 million.
