The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office said that a suspect was apprehended after reportedly attempting to rob a convenience and grocery store in Augusta.
Deputies responded to PAC N GO in the 1600 block of Olive Road on Sunday after receiving reports of an attempted armed robbery.
Upon arrival, deputies secured the area and began looking for the suspect.
Authorities claimed the search resulted in a brief foot chase before the suspect was apprehended.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office has not provided any additional information regarding the suspect.
