A Massillon man won a lot of money after betting 50 cents on the lottery.
He earned more than $25,000 in the Ohio Lottery Pick 5 game.
The winning ticket was purchased for the May 30 drawing and won a total of $25,417, according to the Ohio Lottery.
Officials stated that the player’s 50-cent wager won the game’s top prize of $25,000. He also made an additional $417 using the game’s 60-way backup option.
The winning numbers were: 3-0-1-8-1.
Following necessary state and federal tax withholdings of 26.75%, the winner will receive $18,617.95.
The winning ticket was sold at Massillon Mini Mart, 2622 Lincoln Way NW.
