Miami woman identified as winner of $52K lottery ticket sold near The Villages

A Miami woman won more than $52,000 with a lottery ticket she purchased at a popular vacation stop near The Villages.

Tamara Michel Perez of Miami won the top prize in the Florida Lottery Fantasy 5 evening drawing held on Tuesday, January 20. Perez’s winning ticket was worth exactly $52,437.58.

The winning ticket was initially purchased at the Pilot Travel Center, which is located at 744 E State Road 44 in Wildwood, just outside The Villages.

According to Florida Lottery records, Perez chose the winning numbers from a randomly generated “Quick Pick” ticket, which were 3, 6, 20, 22, and 24. Her ticket was one of two countrywide that matched all five numbers in the jackpot pool, with the other winning ticket sold at a Publix supermarket in Tampa.

Perez joins a long list of people who have won big money playing the Fantasy 5 lottery game after buying tickets from local businesses.
