Lexington County man sentenced to more than 9 years in prison for drug charges

De’Marionne Miller, 22, was sentenced to more than nine years in federal prison after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and possessing the firearm in connection with a drug trafficking offense.

On June 14, deputies arrived to an apartment following reports of domestic violence.

When they arrived, Miller dashed out of the residence with an AK-style rifle and a backpack.

Deputies apprehended Miller and discovered cash, several bags of marijuana, and two cell phones in his backpack.
