Police are investigating after an 18-year-old woman was discovered shot in a vehicle in the Pleasure Ridge Park area on Tuesday night.
Officers responded to the 5300 block of Dixie Highway following a report of a shooting. They arrived to find an 18-year-old woman who had been a passenger in a moving vehicle when she was shot.
The shooter left before police arrived.
The woman was brought to UofL Hospital and is expected to survive.
LMPD has no suspects in the case yet and asks anyone with information to call the anonymous tip line at 502-574-LMPD.
