Police: Streamer DeenTheGreat arrested in Miami Beach after kicking woman off yacht

Popular streamer and Misfits boxer Deen The Great was apprehended early Wednesday morning by Miami Beach police following an alleged altercation with a woman aboard a yacht, according to an arrest report.

The streamer, whose real name is Nurideen Shabazz, was arrested at 4 a.m. after cops responded to a report from a woman who claimed she had been thrown off a yacht on the 200 block of North Shore Drive.

According to police, officers arrived just before 2 a.m. and talked with the woman, who informed them that Shabazz, 25, had forced her off the yacht after other men attempted to engage with her.

According to police, the woman stated that Shabazz warned her against “entertaining anyone else but him.”

According to the report, after the woman exited the yacht, Shabazz attempted to seize her phone to prevent her from recording their contact.

Officers stated he grabbed her by the forearm but was unable to take the gadget. According to police, the victim’s left forearm sustained a slight scrape as a result of the interaction.

The woman then contacted the police.

According to the complaint, police later checked security footage given by the property owner, who informed authorities that he had permitted Shabazz to use the yacht.

According to police, the video shows Shabazz calling for someone to seize the victim’s phone and ensure she was not recording him. Officers stated that the tape appeared to show Shabazz repeatedly attempting to seize the phone, resulting in a struggle as the victim attempted to pull away.

According to the complaint, the tape showed the victim “cradling her body to the floor” to keep Shabazz from snatching her phone.

Police say she eventually slipped away from Shabazz around 1:55 a.m. and phoned 911.

Officers later found that the yacht was returning to the port. When it arrived, officers seized Shabazz for interrogation.

According to the report, after being read his Miranda rights, Shabazz, of Temple Terrace, Florida, informed authorities that he thought the victim had his phone. Police stated his story contradicted what they saw in the camera footage.

Shabazz was eventually arrested on a charge of attempted strongarm robbery and taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

On Wednesday afternoon, he was being held at TGK on a $2,500 bond.

An attorney for Shabazz provided Local 10 News the following statement:

“Mr. Shabazz denies the allegations reported today and intends to vigorously defend himself through the legal process. At this stage, the facts remain incomplete, and many of the claims circulating online are based on preliminary allegations rather than verified evidence presented in court. This case will be determined in a court of law, not by social media.”
