A 42-year-old Winter Haven man was killed in a three-vehicle crash on State Road 570 in Polk County early Monday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the incident occurred about 6:10 a.m. on May 18, 2026. A Toyota sedan and a tractor-trailer were driving westbound on SR-570 (Polk Parkway) when both began to slow due to traffic.

The 42-year-old driver of the Toyota sedan died at the spot due to his injuries.
The crash did not hurt the driver of the Ford pickup truck, a 26-year-old male from Auburndale, or the driver of the tractor-trailer, a 50-year-old man from Lakeland.
