5 Walmart locations across West Virginia set for major remodels

Some Walmart stores across West Virginia are set for upgrades, including one in north-central parts of the state.

A press release from Walmart states that locations in Beckley, Huntington, Keyser, Quincy, and Weston will undergo remodeling throughout the year. The company is carrying out these updates to broaden its selection of healthy food options, improve access to affordable products, and enhance both in-store and online shopping experiences.

“Every new store or remodel delivers real benefits to the community — from construction jobs to long-term careers in retail, pharmacy, and store leadership,” the release states. “The updated stores also include enhanced pharmacies that provide affordable medications, vaccines, and other clinical services, supported by trusted pharmacists, as well as Vision Centers built for improved privacy and convenience, featuring brands like Nike, Calvin Klein, and DKNY, along with services such as free cleanings and adjustments.”

Additional upgrades include free pharmacy delivery for Walmart+ members, app features that help customers locate items in-store, and the ability to book services at Walmart’s Auto Care Center.

In recent years, Walmart has invested more than $180 million to upgrade stores across the state.
