Person Found Dead Near US 23, State Route 104; Incident Suspected as Suicide

A body was discovered along the roadside this morning near U.S. 23 and State Route 104.

Police responded to reports of a possible body at 10:49 a.m. and found the individual at the scene.

Medics arrived shortly after and pronounced the person dead at 10:58 a.m. Authorities confirmed the individual had suffered a gunshot wound.

Detectives also recovered a firearm at the scene and are investigating the case as a suicide.

The exit ramp from 104 eastbound to South High Street is closed, and S. High St. is closed in both directions at 104.
