KENTUCKY — Authorities in Mercer County are searching for a man who escaped police custody on Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Harrodsburg Police Department, the escape occurred around 4 p.m. at the Mercer County Judicial Center. Officials identified the man as Josh Collins.
Police said Collins was last seen on Greenville Street wearing blue jeans and a gray shirt. He was reportedly still in handcuffs at the time of his escape.
Authorities have not released a photo or a detailed physical description of Collins.
Officials urge the public not to approach him. Anyone who sees Collins or has information about his whereabouts should call 911 immediately.
The search is still ongoing.
