ATF Offers $10,000 Reward for Information in Louisville Explosives Theft

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest after explosives were stolen from a construction site in Louisville.

According to the agency’s Louisville Field Division, the theft occurred early Wednesday, April 1, at a site in the 9400 block of Old Bardstown Road.

Officials said workers discovered the break-in and reported missing materials described as “a theft of explosives from an explosive magazine.”

ATF noted that the stolen explosives are clearly labeled and warned that they should not be handled if found. The agency is offering up to $10,000 for information that results in the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
