LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A truck carrying jet fuel overturned Tuesday afternoon at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.
Officials said SDF Public Safety and the Airport Operations Department were alerted around 3 p.m. after an Atlantic Aviation fuel truck flipped along the airfield’s east perimeter road.
Louisville Fire Department Hazmat crews responded due to the presence of jet fuel.
The airport’s East Runway was temporarily closed for landings, while the West Runway and Crosswind Runway remained open. Officials said no impacts to aircraft operations were expected.
The condition of the driver has not been released.
