LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — Misty Noel, the ex-wife of convicted former Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel, is scheduled for early release after serving 10 months of her 18-month prison sentence.
In May 2025, Misty Noel pleaded guilty to five counts of theft and five counts of tax evasion. She began serving her sentence on July 3, 2025, and was also ordered to complete 4.5 years of probation following her release.
According to the Indiana SAVIN & Alert Notification Service, Noel is expected to be released on April 28, 2026, just under 10 months after starting her prison term.
Her former husband, Jamey Noel, was sentenced in October 2024 to 12 years in prison, followed by three years of probation after pleading guilty to 27 felony charges, including theft, tax evasion, money laundering, and corrupt business influence.
Misty Noel’s attorney, Bart McMahon, issued a statement regarding her early release:
“Like any person in custody at Indiana’s DOC, she received credits that reduced her sentence. She looks forward to being with her family.”
