LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A large fire damaged two apartment buildings in south Louisville early Friday morning, prompting a significant response from multiple fire departments.

Crews responded to reports of a structure fire on Holly Park Drive and arrived to find two medium-sized apartment buildings fully engulfed in flames. Officials said both buildings were boarded up and unoccupied at the time.

Firefighters acted quickly to prevent the flames from spreading to a nearby third building and to protect surrounding properties. No injuries were reported.

Authorities have classified the fire as suspicious, and the Louisville Metro Arson Unit is investigating.
