LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — Dr. Kish Cumi Price has asked a judge to set a second trial in her wrongful termination lawsuit against the Louisville Urban League.

Price served as CEO of the organization for five months, from November 2022 to March 2023. The group terminated her after she fired one employee and another employee sent the board a resignation letter criticizing her leadership.

Price testified that the board fired her before she could present concerns about alleged conflicts of interest and financial irregularities.

Earlier this month, a jury heard a week of testimony but failed to reach a verdict. The judge then declared a mistrial.

The judge will hold a hearing next week to consider the motion for a new trial.

Price is seeking $5.5 million in damages.
