LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Authorities have launched a death investigation after a woman was found experiencing medical issues Thursday morning on a Louisville street.
At 9:04 a.m., LMPD First Division officers responded to a report of a person down near 26th Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard.
Police later canceled responding officers after EMS transported the woman to University Hospital for treatment of unspecified medical issues.
The woman later died at the hospital from what police described as injuries.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is now leading a death investigation connected to the incident.
Officials have not yet released additional details about what happened.
