LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Bravo Italian Kitchen near Oxmoor Center has closed, bringing more than two decades of operation at its Louisville location to an end.

The restaurant on Bullitt Lane was the chain’s only location in the Louisville area. No notice was posted at the site ahead of the closure.

According to Louisville Business First, the shutdown is connected to the company’s ongoing bankruptcy reorganization.

Bravo Italian Kitchen and its sister brand, Brio Italian Grille, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last year and have closed multiple locations across the country.

Court records cited by Louisville Business First indicate the Louisville restaurant was one of six locations the company chose to close as part of its restructuring plan.

Bravo Italian Kitchen opened near Oxmoor Center in 2003. The company has not announced future plans for the space or issued further comment on the closure.
