Trinity cornerback attends Cardinals’ Junior Day event

LOUISVILLE — Louisville commit Allen Evans was among the prospects on campus earlier this month for the Cardinals’ Junior Day, and the four-star cornerback came away impressed by his latest visit.

Evans said spending time with the coaching staff and discussing his future in the program stood out most.

“The experience was great, definitely enjoyed getting on campus and being surrounded by the coaching staff,” Evans told Cardinal Authority. “Being able to discuss previous corners who have played at Louisville, and being able to see how I would fit in the scheme and program was amazing.”

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound defensive back committed to Louisville during the All-American Bowl in early January. He chose the Cardinals over a finalist group that included Alabama, Penn State, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.

As a junior at Louisville Trinity, Evans helped lead the Shamrocks to the Kentucky 6A state championship. During the 2025 season, he recorded 28 tackles and two interceptions.

“The top couple of reasons are, number one, it’s my development,” Evans told 247Sports. “And I feel like Louisville was the best place for me in my development. And also, just being able to just want to be a hometown hero because Louisville, Kentucky is the place I’m from. And also Jeff Brown actually going to my high school and being an alma mater. So just everything involved and being able to feel where I’ll be most comfortable with and where I can grow the most.”

Evans is ranked as the No. 39 overall prospect nationally and the No. 6 cornerback in the 2027 recruiting class. He is also rated as the top prospect in the state of Kentucky.
