LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) — Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) will operate on a two-hour delay Monday, Feb. 2, marking students’ first return to in-person classes after a week of snow days and NTI days caused by last weekend’s winter storm.
JCPS confirmed that school buses will run two hours later than their normal schedules.
“We appreciate your patience as bus drivers prioritize safety,” said JCPS spokesperson Carolyn Callahan. “If your student is a bus rider or walker, please make sure to check their route and talk with them about safe places to stand and walk.”
District officials also encouraged parents who plan to drive their children to school to allow extra travel time due to potentially lingering slick conditions.
