LOUISVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — Louisville Metro Police rearrested a man Tuesday after he avoided officers for months following a mistaken release from jail.
According to Louisville’s FOX affiliate, WDRB, 32-year-old Kejuan Jackson was arrested in June after allegedly strangling a woman and threatening to kill her and her four children.
Authorities said Jackson was supposed to remain in Louisville Metro Corrections on a $250,000 bond but was mistakenly placed on home incarceration. Police said he later cut off his GPS monitor and fled.
On Jan. 27, officers said Jackson allegedly pulled a gun on a man inside a home on Dumesnil Street in the Park Hill neighborhood. According to WDRB, he fired a shot that struck a door. He was rearrested later that day.
