LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — A project aimed at improving safety and mobility along Chenoweth Lane in Louisville is set to begin next week.
The $5.6 million project, led by the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, will also focus on addressing ongoing drainage issues in the area.
Work along the corridor between Shelbyville Road and Brownsboro Road is scheduled to start “on or after” Tuesday, Jan. 20, according to a KYTC news release issued Thursday.
To enhance safety and mobility for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists, the project includes roadway changes, sidewalk and pedestrian crossing improvements, and drainage upgrades designed to reduce flooding and improve overall travel conditions.
Drivers are advised to plan ahead, as traffic impacts are expected during construction.
The project is anticipated to be completed this fall.
