KENTUCKY — A Pike County man faces several charges after Kentucky State Police reported finding drugs and a firearm during a home visit in Belfry.
Troopers arrested Frankie Myers Jr. on Dec. 5 and charged him with trafficking methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with other offenses.
Police said the investigation started when they responded to a residence and learned Myers allegedly had illegal drugs and firearms. During a routine home visit, Myers agreed to let troopers search his camper. Officers said they found suspected meth, fentanyl, heroin, and a rifle inside. Since Myers is a convicted felon, he isn’t allowed to have firearms.
Along with drug trafficking and firearm charges, troopers also took him into custody on a complaint warrant that listed additional offenses, including third-degree criminal trespassing, second-degree criminal mischief, and theft by unlawful taking of a vehicle valued between $1,000 and $10,000.
Myers was taken to the Pike County Detention Center, where he remains while awaiting further court proceedings.
