Head-on collision on I-65 sends one to Louisville hospital

A driver heading north in the southbound lane of I-65 collided head-on with a semi-truck in Hart County.

The crash happened at the 61.6 mile marker and involved a green Dodge Ram truck that struck the semi directly.

Witnesses said the truck was smoking and appeared to catch fire as it swerved erratically between lanes.

The driver was flown to the University of Louisville Trauma Center.

I-65 remains blocked just south of Munfordville and Exit 65. Traffic is moving slowly around the area, and drivers are encouraged to take an alternate route before reaching the exit.
