Louisville Metro Police say a man was shot and killed by officers Wednesday afternoon in Hurstbourne Acres.
According to LMPD, officers were called around 1:30 p.m. on Dec. 4, 2025, after a report of a man pointing a gun at a woman in the 9000 block of Red Deer Circle, just off Taylorsville Road. The caller said the suspect was a white man who wasn’t wearing a shirt.
Police located a man matching that description around 1:55 p.m., still armed with a gun. Officers ordered him to drop the weapon, but he refused. Both officers then fired, hitting the man.
They provided first aid, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. No officers were injured.
LMPD has not yet released the man’s identity.
