LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man and a woman were hospitalized after being shot early Thursday morning in a wooded area near Pleasure Ridge Park, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers responded around 1 a.m. to reports of a shooting in the 3000 block of Fordhaven Road, an LMPD news release said.
When police arrived, they were told two people had been shot nearby. They found a man with a graze wound to his chest and a woman with a gunshot wound to her leg.
Officers provided first aid until EMS arrived. Both victims were taken to UofL Hospital, and authorities said they are expected to survive.
The case is being handled by LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit, and investigators currently have no known suspects.
