LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WLKY)Khalil Love, an employee at UPS Supply Chain Solutions, says he’s still processing the terrifying moment a plane clipped his workplace near Muhammad Ali International Airport on Tuesday.

Love, who has worked at the logistics warehouse for about a year, said he never imagined a plane could strike the building — until it happened.

“We lived by a very narrow margin,” Love said. “Because if they didn’t manage to pull up, I think I wouldn’t be standing right now.”

He recalled hearing the sound of the plane hitting the building before rushing outside and seeing a cloud of smoke. Love said he and his coworkers quickly evacuated and haven’t been allowed back since.

“It was just mind-boggling that we all came so close to being wiped off the census,” he said.

Employees have been told to stay away from the site until officials confirm the building is safe to return.
