LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louisville Gas and Electric (LG&E) is mourning the loss of a line technician who was killed Thursday while working in Oldham County.
According to company spokesperson Liz Pratt, the employee was reconductoring a power line when the fatal incident occurred.
“This is a tragic loss for our entire LG&E and KU workforce, and our hearts are heavy for his family and all who knew him,” Pratt said in a statement. “We are conducting a thorough investigation to understand the factors that contributed to this situation and how it happened.”
The technician’s identity has not yet been released.
