KENTUCKY — The Glasgow Police Department has announced plans to conduct multiple safety checkpoints from November 7 through November 30, officials confirmed.
Major Terry Flatt said the checkpoints will be set up at various locations, including Columbia Avenue, West Main Street, North Jackson Highway, and Happy Valley Road, with additional sites possible within city limits.
During the operations, officers will enforce laws concerning driving under the influence, driver and vehicle licensing, registration and insurance, seat belt and child restraint use, and vehicle equipment violations.
Major Flatt noted that the checkpoints aim to enhance public safety and give officers a chance to interact with community members while ensuring compliance with traffic laws.
