LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man was struck and killed on Interstate 264 late Monday night, Louisville Metro Police reported.
Officers responded to a collision at the 3.4-mile marker on I-264, between Bells Lane and Dumesnil Street, around 10:20 p.m. Sept. 22, spokesperson Aaron Ellis said.
Preliminary investigation shows the man was walking in the eastbound lanes when a vehicle struck him for reasons that remain unknown. Emergency services pronounced him dead at the scene.
LMPD’s Traffic Unit is handling the investigation, and no charges are expected to be filed.
