A Washington man will serve nearly a decade in prison for selling methamphetamine, among other drugs, from a Richmond hotel.
Gregory Pierce, 28, of Washington, was sentenced to 13 years in prison on Wednesday, Oct. 21, for methamphetamine distribution and conspiracy, according to a news release from the US Department of Justice (DOJ).
The charges stem from drug sales he made between December 2025 and February of this year, according to the DOJ.
During that occasion, DEA agents purchased cocaine from Pierce in his Richmond hotel room. According to the DOJ, he sold agents roughly a pound’s worth of methamphetamine. He also sold them oxycodone once.
On February 18, authorities discovered methamphetamine, amphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine hydrochloride, a pistol, an extra barrel, three rounds of ammo, three digital scales, and six credit/debit cards in Pierce’s hotel room safe. Pierce sought to obstruct justice after his detention, demanding that a third party locate and intimidate a witness, according to the DOJ.
