It was a great weekend in Houston, with some colder weather, a major win for the Texans, and a resident winning the $7.5 million Lotto Texas jackpot.
The anonymous winner matched all six numbers for the September 5 drawing (14-17-25-26-30-37) and bought the winning ticket at the Kroger store on Memorial Drive near Stratford High School in Spring Branch.
The winner earned $3,971,819.05 before taxes after selecting the cash value option on the ticket at the time of purchase.
The jackpot began at $5 million on August 12 and reached $7.5 million after 11 games on September 5.
The next Lotto Texas drawing is this Wednesday, with an anticipated jackpot of $9 million.
