Police: Webster Woman Apprehended After Hammer Attack On Boyfriend

A Webster woman was Apprehended last week for stabbing her boyfriend and hitting him in the head with a hammer, according to police.

Rachel Moore-McNeil, 30, pled not guilty at her arraignment to two counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, as well as single counts of assault with intent to maim, domestic violence, and resisting arrest.

Shortly after 1:20 a.m. on June 12, Webster police responded to an apartment at 24 Mechanic St. on an anonymous allegation of a woman striking her boyfriend with a hammer, according to a press release. Officers on the site reported hearing a disagreement between a man and a woman inside the unit.

When investigators spoke with Rachel Moore-McNeil and her boyfriend, she claimed there had been no altercation, according to police. However, after questioning her partner, officers concluded that an altercation had occurred.

Moore-McNeil’s boyfriend told detectives that during the argument, she punched him in the head and back with a hammer and stabbed him a week before, according to police. Officers noticed Moore-McNeil’s boyfriend had injuries consistent with his description of the attacks, so he was sent to the hospital for treatment.

Officers attempted to arrest Moore-McNeil, but she fought and had to be dragged to the ground to fasten her handcuffs, police said. She is being jailed without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on June 24, according to court records.
