A Letcher County man now faces 25 years behind bars after a jury convicted him in connection with a deadly April 2024 shooting that claimed his nephew’s life.
Commonwealth’s Attorney Matt Butler confirmed that 57-year-old Rodney Webb was found guilty of first degree manslaughter and handed a 25-year sentence on Wednesday.
The case traces back to a physical altercation in Uz that turned fatal when Webb shot and killed his 45-year-old nephew, Nicholas Webb, in April 2024.
Jurors also convicted Rodney Webb on a persistent felony offender charge. Because he used a firearm in the killing, he will not be eligible for parole.
