2 window washers rescued after scaffolding collapses at 7th floor of Louisville’s L&N Building

Louisville firefighters rescued two workers from the seventh floor of a building near downtown Louisville on Tuesday.

Crews responded to the 900 block of West Broadway around 3:15 p.m.

According to Louisville Fire, the two workers were washing windows on the seventh floor of the L&N Building when the scaffolding came loose, prompting the rescue.

One worker was left stranded on a suspended platform, while the other remained secured by a fall-protection safety line.

No injuries were reported, though both workers were evaluated by medical personnel at the scene.

Firefighters, police officers, and EMS crews all responded to the incident.
