The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help identifying two people involved in the battery of an elderly man.
The Sheriff’s Office shared the incident on Facebook.
Deputies were dispatched to the area of East Hickory Street and Calhoun Street in Louisville, Pottawatomie County, for an allegation of battery.
A witness told deputies that a male driver got out of a white mid-sized SUV and approached an elderly man, allegedly striking him in the face several times. The elderly man slumped to the ground.
Then, a female passenger allegedly left the van and hit the old guy in the head at least once while he lay on the ground.
According to the witness, both the male and female returned to the vehicle and drove away.
The subject had non-life-threatening injuries and declined EMS transportation to the hospital.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the individual was characterized as a tall, skinny, light-skinned Black male in his mid- to late 20s. The female was characterized as short, heavy-set, white, with dirty blonde straight hair, and possibly in her mid-to-late twenties.
The sheriff’s office is appealing for the public’s help in identifying those involved. Detectives have interviewed some people, while others remain unidentified.
