Louisville police search for suspects after woman shot in Portland neighborhood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Police are searching for suspects after a young woman was shot Sunday in Louisville’s Portland neighborhood.

Officers responded to a reported shooting around 5 p.m. on April 19 in the 400 block of North 28th Street, according to Louisville Metro Police spokesperson Aaron Ellis.

When officers arrived, they found a young woman inside a home with a gunshot wound, Ellis said. She was taken to UofL Hospital, where she remains, though her condition has not been released.

LMPD’s Domestic Violence Unit has taken over the investigation. Police have not identified any suspects and have made no arrests.
