Derby drag show set for Louisville celebration

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) – An inclusive Derby Week tradition is returning to Louisville.

The Saturday Soiree Derby Drag Show will take place at Kroger’s Fest-a-Ville on the Waterfront on April 25 from 1 to 3 p.m. The event will feature local drag performers in a show highlighting fashion, music and inclusivity.

The show will benefit the Louisville Pride Foundation. DJ Syimone will host the event, with performances by Lolita Velveeta, Olympia Gold, Breanna Burns, Evelyn Salt and Uhstel H Valentine.

Ebony Cross of the Louisville Pride Foundation said, “Derby Week has always been about spectacle and spirit, and drag embodies both of those things beautifully. We are so proud to be part of an event that turns those values into something you can see, feel, and cheer for.”

The event is open to those 18 and older. VIP tickets are available online and include exclusive access and front-row seating.
