LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A fire broke out in a building with a storefront and apartments in Old Louisville, leaving two people injured, including a firefighter.
The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. Friday on South Floyd Street near East Oak Street and Interstate 65.

Officials transported a neighbor and a firefighter to the hospital. Both are expected to survive.
No one else suffered injuries, but the fire displaced four people.
Officials said “failed lithium batteries” caused the fire.
