Eight Louisville restaurants inspected between March 30 and April 5 received a “C” grade due to critical violations.
Each restaurant in Jefferson County is scored out of a possible 100 points. A score of 85 or higher, with no critical violations, earns an “A.” A score of 84 or below, or any critical violation regardless of score, results in a “C.”
According to Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness, inspectors assign a “B” grade to facilities with ongoing compliance issues, such as two consecutive failed inspections or closures due to imminent health hazards.
Inspectors will revisit restaurants that receive a “C” and fail within seven to 10 days through the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness.
