Identities released in deadly Western Kentucky crash

Authorities have identified three people killed in a single-vehicle crash in Western Kentucky.

The Hickman County Sheriff’s Office said 42-year-old Joshua Watson of Louisville, 38-year-old Shranda Milam of Wingo, and 30-year-old Krista Whitt of Paducah died after their vehicle went into the Mississippi River in Columbus.

The crash happened Saturday evening when the car struck a ramp at the Ingram Barge location and plunged into the water.

Officials said a diver from McCracken County Emergency Management later connected the vehicle to a wrecker from Buddy’s Wrecker Service, allowing crews to recover both the car and the victims.
