Wrong house lands Bryant in jail

Clay County Sheriff, Patrick Robinson, reports that on 12/22/2024 at approximately 12:50 a.m. Deputy Michael Gilliam received a call for service through Clay 911 about a male subject wearing dark clothing walking around private property.
The homeowner followed the male subject to the North 421 service station in his vehicle.
When Deputy Gilliam arrived on the scene, he spoke with the subject, Shannon Bryant, and he stated that he did not mean to go onto the caller's property and thought it was a friend's house.
After further investigation, Deputy Gilliam determined Bryant was manifestly under the influence of a controlled substance. Bryant admitted to Deputy Gilliam that he had used Methamphetamine a few hours before this incident.
Shannon Bryant, 34, was arrested for:
-PUBLIC INTOXICATION-CONTROLL SUB (EXCLUDES ALCOHOL)
