A man has admitted to killing two relatives in Pulaski County.

Pulaski County Sheriff Bobby Jones said Brandon A. Mullins, 28, appeared with his attorneys in Pulaski Circuit Court on Wednesday, where he pleaded guilty to the murders of his uncle, Anthony Mullins, and his father, Dennis Mullins.

The killings happened on or around May 24, 2024, in the Eubank area of Pulaski County. On May 25, 2024, authorities found Anthony Mullins and Dennis Mullins dead inside their home with gunshot wounds.

Detective Jay Picard led the investigation. Using information and evidence gathered from the scene and other sources, Picard obtained an arrest warrant for Brandon Mullins, charging him with two counts of murder. Authorities arrested Mullins on May 26, 2024, based on that warrant.

On Aug. 7, 2024, Picard presented the case to the Pulaski Grand Jury, which issued an indictment charging Brandon Mullins with two counts of murder and one count of tampering with physical evidence. Officials served the indictment warrant while Mullins remained in jail on Picard’s earlier arrest warrant.

The court has scheduled Mullins’ formal sentencing for April 6 in Pulaski Circuit Court.

“I want to commend the professionalism of my deputies and detectives. They never let up and did a very thorough investigation,” Jones said. “I would also like to thank Commonwealth’s Attorney David Dalton for his pursuit of justice in this case and sending a clear message that violence has no place in our county. Lastly I’d like to say thank you to Sheriff Shawn Hines and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office for their help on several occasions during this investigation.”
