Sarah Weisman, 27, of Shepherdsville dies in head-on collision with Toyota Tacoma

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A woman died following a fatal crash Saturday evening in Bullitt County.

According to Kentucky State Police, shortly after 7:30 p.m., a teen driving a Toyota Tacoma was heading west on KY 44 East when the passenger-side tires went off the roadway onto a steep shoulder. KSP says the driver overcorrected, crossed the centerline and struck a Ford Escape head-on.

The Ford then hit an embankment and flipped onto its roof.

Sarah Weisman, 27, of Shepherdsville, who was driving the Ford, was pronounced dead at the scene by the Bullitt County Coroner. The teen driving the Toyota was not injured.

KSP troopers received assistance from the Shepherdsville Fire Department, Mount Washington Fire Department and Bullitt County EMS.

KSP continues to investigate the crash.
