Kenny Patel is wanted for allegedly taking part in a scheme that defrauded multiple victims of large sums of money between 2017 and 2021.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Federal Bureau of Investigation Louisville is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a suspect tied to a large-scale fraud operation.
According to a social media post, Kalpeshkumar Rasikbhai Patel, also known as Kenny Patel, is wanted for his role in a scheme that targeted and defrauded numerous victims between 2017 and 2021.
The FBI said a federal arrest warrant was issued after Patel was charged in Kentucky with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud.
“Many victims were contacted via telephone communications and deceived into believing their personal information or identities were associated with criminal activities,” the post stated. “They were convinced to send funds, usually in the form of cash and prepaid debit cards, to addresses throughout the United States.”
Authorities believe Patel may be living in or traveling between Illinois and Pennsylvania.
